New Car

My new car, a 2010 Chrysler 300C. It has the Hemi engine and just about all the electronic that you could ask for. It even has heated back seats and keyless run.

30 Years

On March 12, 2010 I had been with my employer (The Boeing Company) for 30 years. Been all over the country with them and finally at my last duty station (Randolph AFB, Texas). I'm going to retire at the end of this year.

Almost done, Railing is up but still need bench, steps and skirt. One more day

New Deck

Add a new deck on the back of the house. All I had before was a 10 ft X 10 ft cement slab. Now installing a 12 ft x 22 ft cedar deck. Can't wait to get it done.

Happy New Year 2010

Happy New Year to everyone. The neighborhood had a great new year eve party. A little cold but had a wonderful time but way to many jello shots.

The Alamo

We went to the River Walk yesterday and ended up spending the night downtown. Of course we did go to the Alamo, one of my special places in San Antonio. The Alamo is so amazing and beautiful. I took some photos during the day and again at night. Use a Nikon D90 camera

Air Show

Air Show this weekend at Randolph AFB, TX but no big names are here (Blue Angels, Thunder birds or the Snow birds) I'm not going to fight the crowds to see them. The only thing that will be worth it is the F-22 fighter is doing a demonstration, which should be good.

HALLOWEEN 2009 PARTY

Had a super time last night with Halloween. Neighbors came over and we handed out candy and play with all the toys. Great time.

Summer About Over

Thanks god summer is about over. 59 days of 100 degrees or more this summer. Also the driest 24 month in history. (August 2007 till August 2009). 41" of rain below normal.

NEW CAMERA

Got a new camera last night. It a Nikon D90. Really looking forward to see how the pictures turn out. It is a great camera and have been playing with it this morning. Attached is one of the first pictures that was taken with it. Great camera.

51 Days of over 100 degrees with no relief in sight. New record for San Antonio, TX

CHRYSLER 300C

Finally got the 300C fixed. Had some dents in the doors from people in parking lots who don't have any consideration for other people property. Have to park in the south 40 just to keep the dents from getting on your cars.

HOT! HOT!

39 Days over 100 degrees temperatures . The new record of number of days since they start tracking the temperatures. Still have the forecast of over 100 degrees the rest of the week. No rain either, it is so dry and we are in stage 2 of water restrictions. Grass is dying fast.

Texas Summer

Today is the 24 days of over 100 degrees this summer and it is only the middle of July. This is the hottest summer since 1998. Going to be a long hot summer. We are in water rationing stage two.

Happy 4th of July 2009

Happy 4th of July. We went to Corpus Cristi for the weekend. Went to the aquarium but the walking got to us. It was very nice and it even rained while we was there. Had a free night and stayed in a Holiday Inn Express and was very nice. Had a wonderful time. Next trip we are going to see the USS Lexington aircraft carrier. It is docked in the harbor. Also went to Padre Island but didn't stay long, it was so hot 104 degrees.
