KANSAS ROCKS

This weeks NCAA Championship game in San Antonio, TX with Kansas vs. Memphis absolutely rocked! Exciting game throughout, and the vibe everywhere this week was pumped, like we were all part of the winning team. Way to go 'Hawks!...

New Cat

We got a new cat and her name is "Tizzy". She is about 4 months old and we had her de-clawed and spayed. She is still a wild cat but slowly coming around to accepting people. Still afraid when new people come into the house. Li-Ping (our other cat) really likes having another cat in the house. They chase each other all over the house.

Knee

They found another tumor on my right knee. Had one removed back on Oct 17, 2007, and now had the new one removed on February 6, 2008. Both were biegn so no cancer. They removed some muscle and ligaments. Doing a lot of exercises to get my knee back in shape. It is harder to straighten it than it to bend it. Will be returning to work on March 3, 2008.

Yesterday (February 7) way my son Shawn's birthday. He's currently right in the middle of a photo project where he takes one photo perday and posts it on his Flickr page. I particularly liked this pic. and it's also fitting because Shawn is really into vintage Japanese films.

New Year

Finally got all the Christmas decoration down and put away in the attic. This was a all day project and not an easy job with my knee. I had a tumor on my right knee and had it removed back on Oct 17, 2007. It turned out to be beign so no Cancer. It keep swelling and giving out on me so continuing to have doctor visits. It could come back so I have to watch it very careful.

I am trying to update this bog more often. I didn't do very well on this last year.

2007

The year 2007 is fast coming to a close. Been a rough year medical for me and I have not been keeping up with this bog. There has been some good things that has happen this year also, so hopefully I can catch up on the posting after the new year. One of my new year resolution is to post more often and keep everyone up to date.

One of the good things that happened is that I purchase a new car (2008 Chrysler 300C). It is a great car which practically drives itself. It has a hemi engine (V-8) with all the bells and whistles. It is a very beautiful car.





I will update the site concerning the tumors on my knee.

Brother Visit

More Medical Problems

Durning a rountine exam they found two tumors on my right knee. They do not think they are cancer but can't be sure until they are removed. On Oct 17, 2007 they are going to surgery remove them. Will post a update after the operations

New Tattoo

I got a new Tattoo which has meaning about my past. I have a lot of ghosts from my past which still haunts me. The skull is me with the ghosts are the things that bother me.

Hurricanes

Just went thru the first tropical storm since we moved to San Antonio. Tropical Storm Erin dumped 5 inch at my house, some part of San Antonio got up to 10 inches of rain. Now we are bracing for Hurricane Dean which might turn and come into Texas instead of Mexico.

I have not written in quite a while so I am going to try to do it more often and try to keep it up to date.

Neighborhood

We have a terrific neighborhood and all the neighbors are great. These are pictures of a going away party we were having for Pauline (not in picture) who was deployed to Iraq. We always ending up in someone driveway having a few drinks. Best neighbors that we have ever had.

Foot

I'm home recovering from a foot operation. I had to have a pin removed that was causing me pain and then had the little toe nail removed. The pin was put in December 13, 2005 and has never been right since. Having to keep my foot evaluated so it is pretty hard just to lay still. Want to be up doing something. It is nice to be off work and not have to worry about the job thing. Get the stitches taken out on Friday April 20, and the return to work on Monday April 23.

Saturday

It is a rainy day and it is cold. It is the day before Easter and it is colder here than it was on Christmas day. It is the coldest day on this date since they start recording the records. Of course this is the day my heating in the house will not work. So using the fireplace and a electric heater to keep the house warm.

For the first time in about a year we went to the movie "Wild Hogs" with Tim Allen and it was so funny, we laughed so loud. Very good movie and then went for Ice Cream. Also first time for a long time

Haven't written in a long time but need to catch up. Having a hard time getting around to the computer beside work. This week may give me time to catch up. Having surgery on my left foot again and will be laid up for a week or two so will have chance to catch up. Had my left foot done the first time on Dec 13, 2005 but still have a lot of pain around the little toe. They put pins in the little toe and big toe so they are removing the pin in the little toes and taking the toe nail off. Surgery is Monday April 9, 2007 at 8:00 am. Surgery could take about 2 hrs depending on how are the pin are to get out.

My Mother Birthday

February 2 was my mother birthday. She was 95 years old, and she still resided in the Parkland Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas.

New House

We found a new house in Universal City, Texas. It is five year old, 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. We looked at a lot of houses on September 21, 2006 and like this one and made a offer on September 22, 2006 and they accepted it almost immediately.

Have a home inspection scheduled on September 29, 2006 with the closing on October 27, 2006. I have to be out of my apartment on October 31, 2006. The address of the new house is 8810 Tavern Trail, Universal City, Texas 78148.

I will be going back to Nebraska on November 4 ,2006 to help Danae move from Bellevue, Ne to Texas.

The outside of the house is completely brick and in good shape except for the yard. Due to the hot summer and water resistance in Texas the weed have taken over.

House Hunting

Danae is flying in tonight from Omaha to due a house hunting trip over the weekend. We have an appointment with the realtor tomorrow to start showing us houses. Hope we can find a house quick. We'll let you know how it goes.
